Sapphire Quran is preparing for launch. This page describes the free Version 1.
A moment with God. Help with your free Sapphire Quran reader.
Is the app free? Do I need an account?
Version 1 is free, with no subscription, trial or in-app purchase. An account is not required. AI features are not included in this version.
Reading and bookmarks
Scroll through the current surah. The navigation arrows move between surahs. Use the bookmark control to save a reading place. The app saves your reading position on this device; it does not sync across devices.
Arabic and English highlighting
Select a verse to highlight the corresponding Arabic and English. Phrase-level matching currently covers Al-Fatihah only. English is a translation of the meanings.
Does Version 1 include audio?
The free Version 1 focuses on reading and does not include recitation playback. Audio is deferred until recording permissions and playback verification are complete.
Prayer times or reminders seem incorrect
Check the saved location, time zone, calculation method and Asr preference. Update your location after travelling. Methods can differ from your mosque’s timetable. Reopen the app regularly to refresh the upcoming prayer reminder schedule. Check notification permission and Focus settings if alerts are missing.
Make reading more comfortable
Open Reading Settings to adjust text size, appearance and gentle background animation. You can also enable Reduce Motion in iPhone accessibility settings.
Report a text or translation issue
Send the surah and verse number, the language affected, and a short description. Include a screenshot if helpful, with private information removed. We investigate reports against the source edition; an automated check alone is not scholarly review.
Privacy and deleting data
See our privacy policy for local storage, location permissions, audio requests and earlier pilot accounts. Deleting the app is different from offloading it.
Contact support
For a technical issue, include your iPhone model, iOS version, app version and the steps that led to the problem. Never send passwords or API keys. For an earlier pilot-account deletion request, identify the account email without including its password.
