Sapphire Quran is preparing for launch. This page describes the free Version 1.
Sapphire Quran Version 1 is free to use, with no required account, advertisements, in-app purchases or AI generation.
Your reading stays on your device
Your display name, reading position, bookmarks, highlights, reflections, learning progress, prayer checklist and reminder preferences are stored locally. Version 1 does not sync this information to an app account or send your journal to an AI provider. Device backups may include app data according to your Apple backup settings.
Location and prayer reminders
If you choose “Use my location,” the app requests location access while in use. Coordinates and the selected time zone are saved on your device to calculate prayer times locally. The app does not send these coordinates to our server. Turning off location permission stops new location requests but does not erase the previously saved coordinates.
Prayer and reading reminders are scheduled locally after you permit notifications. Their text may appear on your lock screen, depending on your iPhone notification settings. You can turn reminders off in the app and control notification previews in iPhone Settings.
Audio and external websites
The public Version 1 does not stream recitation or send audio requests to EveryAyah. Quran text and translation are bundled for offline reading.
Source and support links open external websites, which receive normal connection information such as your IP address and apply their own privacy practices. Version 1 includes no advertising or third-party analytics SDK.
Earlier private testing accounts
If you previously used an invited history pilot account, its account records may remain with our Supabase service. Account-management requests communicate with Supabase, and the session is stored in the device Keychain. Signing out does not delete server records. Contact support to request deletion of a pilot account or related stored data. The free public reader does not require a pilot account or offer AI questions.
Your choices and deletion
You can remove individual bookmarks and edit or clear your reflection text in the app. To remove the app’s locally stored preferences and content, delete the app using iPhone Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Sapphire Quran → Delete App; offloading is different and retains data. Backup copies and Keychain credentials can persist separately. Manage backups through Apple settings and sign out of an earlier pilot account before deleting the app.
Support messages
If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it to answer your request and resolve problems. Please avoid sending private journal entries, passwords or sensitive personal details. You may request deletion of your correspondence, subject to necessary legal or security retention.
